How to Apply for a Transfer

TRANSFER STUDENTS
F1 students who are transferring to Quality Careers Institute from another school must complete the attached forms in order to begin the application process. The student must also submit a copy of his/her 1-20 from the former school. The Admissions Office, after review of the completed forms, will notify the former school of the student’s transfer to Quality Careers Institute. The student does not have to notify the Department of Homeland Security. Quality Careers Institute will be responsible for school change notification.

You are also required to submit the following documents in order to complete your transfer to Quality Careers Institute:


  1. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION.

  2. SCHOOL TRANSFER ELIGIBILITY CONFIRMATION FORM
    The form needs to be completed by the student and the current school. A copy of the current I-20 form if the student is transferring from a U.S. high school, college, or university.

  3. APPLICATION AND FEE
    On the application, please list the address where you live in the U.S., and your foreign address. An application fee of $150.00 (a REFUNDABLE FEE) will be charged. You can pay by check or money order (U.S. FUNDS) made out to Quality Careers Institute.

  4. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROCESSING FEE
    Quality Career Institute charges a $100.00 NON-REFUNDABLE PROCESSING FEE (U.S. FUNDS) check or money order made out to Quality Careers Institute.

  5. CURRENT BANK STATEMENT OR AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT
    The person who is paying your tuition and living expenses while you attend QCI must complete and sign this form in the presence of a Notary Public or First Class Magistrate. This completed form must be SIGNED BY A NOTARY PUBLIC and ACCOMPANIED BY VERIFICATION LETTERS FROM THE SPONSOR’S EMPLOYER AND HIS/HER BANK OR FINANCIAL AGENCY. An applicant can have more than one sponsor. (USCIS requires sponsors to show verification of assets to cover tuition, fees, and living expenses. The estimated expenses are $12,000 per year for a single student and an additional $5,000 per each dependent). These estimated expenses are based on school attendance for one year.

  6. DECLARATION OF INTENTION FORM
    (See list of transfer or programs at QCI).

  7. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
    (Please read checklist very carefully).

  8. COPY OF PASSPORT AND I-94 CARD
    We require a copy of your passport, specifically the biography page with your photograph and identifying information, and if you are currently residing in the U.S., we need a copy of your U.S. visa stamp and your 1-94 card as well.

  9. BIOGRAPHICAL AND DEPENDENT (F-2) INFORMATION SHEET
    You will need to provide information about your citizenship, country of residence, visa and passport information. Please list all dependents (spouse or children), relevant information, and provide a copy of each family member’s passport, visa and I-94 card (if appropriate).
